Plumbers find an engagement ring ten years after it was lost
Michigan plumbers uncovered an engagement ring lost down a toilet more than a decade earlier and reunited it with its owner after a short social-media search.
A pair of Michigan plumbers were on a routine call when they found something unexpected inside the pipes: an engagement ring that had been lost down a toilet more than ten years before.
Rather than set the ring aside, the plumbers shared a photo on social media and asked their community for help identifying the owner. Within a few days the original owner came forward, and the ring was returned.
A decade is a long time to assume something is gone for good. It rarely is.
