A six-year-old with a toy metal detector finds a wedding ring
A child using a toy metal detector pulled a missing wedding ring out from under a layer of seaweed on a quiet beach.
The owner had searched the same stretch of beach for an hour. A six-year-old with a plastic toy metal detector walked over a few minutes later and heard a steady beep.
Under a thin layer of seaweed sat the wedding ring. The owner thanked the child, and the child went back to looking for treasure — which, briefly, is exactly what it was.
The right tool, in the right place, at the right moment, costs less than you'd expect.
